These bands are ubiquitous throughout the interstellar medium (ISM) and show variations between the relative strengths, peak positions, and spectral profiles of PAH emission bands among different sources, or within a given source. The complete interpretation of the UIR bands requires infrared data mainly on pure PAHs, nitrogen-containing PAHs (PANHs), substituted PAHs and their clusters. Since there is only very limited data available regarding PAH/PANH clusters, we report the IR spectroscopy of PANH clusters here, for the first time. |
