Abstract Type : Poster Abstract Category : Stars, ISM and Galaxy Abstract : In this paper, we explore membership determination of open star clusters using clustering techniques DBCAN (Density-Based Spatial Clustering of Applications with Noise) and HDBCAN (Hierarchical -Based Spatial Clustering of Applications with Noise) for a sample of 9 clusters using Gaia DR3 data. We select stars from the Gaia-DR3 catalog, and construct a five-dimensional phase space (three-dimensional spatial position and two-dimensional proper motion) and obtain reliable cluster members. We use the complete sample to find cluster parameters using ASteca as well as to study the kinematic structure of the clusters using both the samples from DBSCAN and HDBSCAN. We present our results using both methods and compare them to the values obtained by earlier authors. |
