Dear Colleague,

The 45th annual meeting of the Astronomical Society of India (ASI 2027) will be hosted jointly by Indian Institute of Technology (BHU) Varanasi and Banaras Hindu University (BHU) from 12 - 16 Feb 2027.

We invite you to be a part of this largest meeting of professional astronomers in India, present your own work, learn about the exciting new developments and science results across various disciplines of Astronomy and Astrophysics, and attend one of the topical 1-day workshops of your choice. The meeting is open to all ASI members, as well as Researchers and Students in Astronomy & Astrophysics or related areas, affiliated to Research and Academic Institutions / Universities / Colleges.

It is our pleasure to share with you that Abstract Submission for Oral, Poster and Thesis presentations is now open. The abstract submission starts from 1st September 2026 (today) and the deadline is 5th October 2026.

The information on registration fee can be found from the link. The process of registration is complete only when the participant pays the registration fee and fills the conference registration form (available after login). Registration fee for ASI 2027 can be paid electronically and after Online Payment, the screenshot of the transaction receipt should be uploaded through the online form available within the profile login.The registration fee will cover snacks and meals at the venue of the meeting as mentioned in the program, and includes attendance of one workshop of your choice, subject to selection.

This time we have a total of 3 workshops on the first day i.e. on 12th February 2027. The topics of the workshops are listed below.
