The International Astronomical Union (IAU) is pleased to announce the opening of registrations, abstracts and grant applications for the 33rd General Assembly (GA) that will take place from August 10-19, 2027 in Rome, Italy.

The General Assembly is the IAU’s largest gathering of astronomers, educators, students, communicators, outreach professionals, policymakers, and others from across the globe. The scientific program consists of 6 symposia, 12 focus meetings, 9 Division meetings, IAU Offices and Centre Meetings, scientific group meetings as well as invited discourses. In addition, there will be an exciting public engagement programme during the conference.

Professional astronomers and members of the international astronomy community are invited to submit their scientific contributions and register to participate in this unique global event. The IAU, with the support of partners, offers a limited number of grants to cover the registration fee and other costs.

The #IAUGA2027 is hosted by the INAF National Institute for Astrophysics in Italy.
