This is a reminder that the abstract submission deadline for the Astronomical Society of India (ASI) Symposium 007 is fast approaching. The last date to submit your abstract is Monday, 5 October 2026.

ASI Symposium 007: The Next Decade of Solar Eclipse Science: Observations, Models, and Instrumentation
Dates: 8–10 December 2026
Venue: IIT Delhi
Jointly organised by IIT Delhi and the Astronomical Society of India

The symposium will bring together researchers working on eclipse observations, solar atmospheric and heliospheric physics, numerical modelling, and instrumentation, with a focus on preparing for the total solar eclipses of 2027 and 2028. The programme includes invited talks, contributed talks, and brainstorming sessions, along with a special session revisiting the Eddington experiment. This is an excellent opportunity for students to present their work, interact with leading solar physicists from across the country, and get involved in planning for the upcoming eclipse campaigns. I strongly encourage all of you working in solar physics, heliophysics, plasma physics, computational modelling, or instrumentation to submit an abstract for a contributed talk or poster.

Registration fee: Rs. 2000 for students and postdocs; Rs. 4000 for other participants.
