A Junior Research Fellow position to work on the above titled project under the Core Research Grant(CRG) scheme funded by Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB) of the Department of Scienceand Technology (DST) is available at IIA, Bengaluru as early as July 2020.

Planetary science postdoctoral Position in NISER, Bhubaneswar, India

Looking for highly motivated candidates interested in areas of surface compositional and morphological studies of inner solar system rocky and outer solar system icy bodies, geologic and geochemical evolution, planetary geology and early Earth geology, asteroids and comets, meteorites and planetary analogue/sample, etc.

PhDs with Planetary Science / Geoscience / Physics / Chemistry or relevant background may apply. Candidates with good expertise and research quality in the mentioned areas are preferred. The position is for three years, subject to performance and review each year.

A request: Teaching in Astronomy session in the 38th Meeting of ASI at IISER Tirupati

Greetings. The SOC of the 38th meeting of the Astronomical Society of India (ASI) has asked me to organize a session titled "Teaching in Astronomy" on the 14th of February from 1600 hr to 1730 hr. The total duration is 1.5 hr. As you are aware the 38th meeting of ASI will be held at IISER Tirupati.

Postdoctoral position in Gravitational Physics and Astronomy

Applications are invited for the position of postdoctoral research associate in gravitational wave physics and astronomy at Chennai Mathematical Institute (CMI), India. The position is for two years extendable for another year upon satisfactory performance. The required qualification is a PhD in Physics or Astronomy. Those who have submitted their PhD thesis can also apply. Screening of the applications will start in November 2019 and will continue until the position is filled.
