APRASC2019

International conference in radio science, called the APRASC2019 (see above) is being hosted by INCURSI-INSA and the Indian Radio Science Society in New Delhi during March 9-15, 2019.

The APRASC2019 will have ten commissions including one on radio astronomy and the details of `Call for Papers and paper submission' has been put up on the website www.aprasc2019.com.

TMT Early-Career Initiative workshop, December 2-9, Pasadena, USA

We are pleased to announce that the Thirty Meter Telescope (TMT) International Observatory is sponsoring the annual TMT Early-Career Initiative workshop, open to astronomy and engineering graduate students, postdocs, and early-career professionals from the TMT partnership. This workshop is being offered through the Institute for Scientist & Engineer Educators and will be held in Pasadena, California, USA.

Postdoctoral fellowship at the Max Planck Partner Group in IIST

Applications are invited for a postdoctoral fellowship at IIST supported by the Max Planck Partner Group in Galactic Star Formation. The partner group is headed by Dr. Jagadheep D. Pandian in collaboration with the Max Planck Institute for Radio Astronomy. The fellow will work with the data from the Global View of Star Formation in the Milky Way (GLOSTAR), a blind survey of the Galactic plane with the JVLA in the 4 - 8 GHz band. Complementary data taking and analysis with the GMRT using the new uGMRT system will be required.

Openings at IIT-Bombay for two postdoctoral positions

Department of Physics, IIT-Bombay expects to have openings, in the near future, for two postdoctoral positions in the areas of early-universe cosmology and particle physics model building. A Ph.D. degree and relevant research experience are required for these posts.
