One-day Online Meeting on the Bhaskaracharya Observatory for the Search of Exoplanets (BOSE) on 9th December 2025

Greetings!

We are pleased to announce a One-day Online Meeting on the Bhaskaracharya Observatory for the Search of Exoplanets (BOSE) - “Towards the Discovery of Earth-Twins”  to be held on 9th December 2025  at Physical Research Laboratory (PRL), Ahmedabad.

The meeting aims to bring together observers, instrumentation experts, theorists, and scientific enthusiasts to discuss the exciting opportunities offered by the upcoming proposed BOSE space mission, India’s first discovery-legacy exoplanet mission.

The ASI Symposium 006: Communicating Astronomy in India 2026 (ASI SCAI-26) will be held during 22-24 January at IUCAA, Pune, and is being supported by the ASI, IUCAA, IIA, ARIES, and NCRA-TIFR.

SKA-India Science Meeting 2026 at IISER Mohali from 15-18 January 2026

We are excited to announce the SKA-India Science Meeting 2026, titled "India and the SKA: Preparing for a Transformative Era in Astrophysics". The meeting will be held from 15-18 January 2026 at IISER Mohali.

As the Square Kilometre Array Observatory (SKAO) enters its full construction phase, this meeting will provide a key platform for the Indian astronomy community to prepare for upcoming Science Verification data in 2027 and to plan participation in SKA Key Science Projects.

We are pleased to inform that we are holding a two day workshop called Women in Astrophysics: Voices, Equity, and Science (WAVES) - A Workshop on Gender Equity and Advances in Astrophysics,  at ICTS-TIFR, Bengaluru, on November 3–4, 2025. This two-day meeting will bring together women astronomers and astrophysicists in India to showcase current research across diverse areas, as well as discuss issues around gender equity.

Advanced workshop on “THeoretical aspects Of Relativistic jets” (THOR) from 5-9 Jan, 2026 at IUCAA

IUCAA is organizing an advanced workshop on “THeoretical aspects Of Relativistic jets” (THOR), from January 5-9, 2026. The workshop’s primary goal is to provide Indian researchers with much-needed exposure to the AGN jet theory. Another crucial aspect of the event is to develop the skills of participants in numerical simulations of the relativistic jet emission through hands-on sessions.

The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) and the European Space Agency (ESA) are pleased to announce a joint workshop dedicated to heliophysics. This event will focus on scientific opportunities arising from the combined observations of Aditya-L1, Solar Orbiter, and Proba-3 missions.

The workshop will be organized as in-person during 19-23 January 2026, in Trivandrum, India.
