We are going to arrange a Museum Symposium at the Indian Centre for Space Physics, (ICSP) Kolkata on 27 December 2023. In this event, descendants of some Great Indian astrophysicists will join and reminisce about the Giants. Here I attach the Poster for the same. This is complemented by a visit to the Astronomy and Space Science Museum at ICSP, Kolkata.

The purpose of this survey is to build and maintain a “living” list of amateur astronomy clubs and astronomy themed outreach organizations in India and assess accessibility to relevant resources such as telescopes and other outreach equipments. Outreach Sections or Astronomy Clubs of Universities, Institutes, or private astronomy outreach organizations are invited to complete this survey. The list will be maintained by the Public Outreach and Education Committee of the Astronomical Society of India and would be utilized for outreach and capacity development purposes nationwide.

Prof. Deepak B Vaidya was a Faculty member of Physics Department, Gujrat College, Ahmedabad during 70's and 80's and was a part of the research group which had interest in light scattering effects of colloidal liquids. He used to frequently visit Physical Research Laboratory (PRL) Ahmedabad when I was a PhD student there (in 80's). He was keenly involved with the Infrared Group of PRL and participated in most of the research activities undertaken by Prof. JN Desai. He used to visit Mt. Abu for participating in the observations of Comet Halley.
