Postdoctoral positions in theoretical cosmology and physics of the early universe

We announce the opening of two postdoctoral positions in theoretical cosmology---one at the Centre for Strings, Gravitation and Cosmology, Department of Physics, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras, India, and the other at the Department of Physics, Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru, India. The selected candidates will join the groups of Prof. L. Sriramkumar at IIT Madras and Dr. Rajeev Kumar Jain at IISc Bangalore.

Museum of Astronomy and Space Science at Indian Centre for Space Physics, Kolkata

The Museum of Astronomy and Space Science,  located in the Integrated Campus building of the Indian Centre for Space Physics will be inaugurated by Indian Astronaut Wing Commander Rakesh Sharma, Ashok Chakra (Retd) on 27th of October, 2023. There are over 1200 exhibits. We will have two days of packed events as attached. There will be talks by NASA Astronaut Dr. John Grunsfeld and Mr. Sharma on both days. Astronomers may be interested in this event.

Pedagogic workshop on Astronomy, Astrophysics and Cosmology at St. Stephen's College, Delhi

Greetings. We are pleased to announce a pedagogic workshop on Astronomy, Astrophysics and Cosmology from 6th to 10th November 2023, to be organized by the Department of Physics under the aegis of IQAC, St. Stephen's College, University of Delhi, in collaboration with the Astronomy Centre for Educators, Inter- University Centre for Astronomy and Astrophysics, Pune. The workshop will be held at St. Stephen's College, Delhi.

We are a forum called CARINAS, Cosmology and Astronomy Researchers of Indian Nationality And Sisters. Our mandate is to empower early-career women researchers in India and first-generation Indian women researchers outside the country through networking, mentorship, knowledge sharing, and collaboration when required. We aim to address gender inequity in a bottom-up approach and create a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment.
