Book published: Physics of Gravitational Waves: Sources and Detection Methods

Dear colleagues,

We're pleased to inform you that we have published a book that provides a concise introduction to gravitational waves physics, which includes problems on GW aimed at graduate and PhD students. The book covers latest developments in the detection of GW. The reader will also learn how gravitational waves provide a testing tool for various theories of gravity, i.e. general relativity and extended theories of gravity, and will be the definitive test for general relativity.

Book published: Exercises in Astronomical Data Analysis for Beginners

Dear colleagues,

I'm very pleased to inform you that I have compiled some beginner-friendly data based exercises in astronomy into a small book which is now available for purchase on major ecommerce platforms as ebook and paperback worldwide (links below). These are aimed at undergraduate students/college teachers. Enthusiastic high school students may benefit from it as well.

If you find it worthy, please consider it for your library, and help me take it to the relevant readers. I look forward to receiving your feedback.

Applications are invited for JRF position

Applications are invited from motivated and eligible candidates for one JRF position in the SERB-sponsored research project on studying “Ionospheric effect on the redshifted 21-cm radio-interferometric observations with uGMRT and satellite observations”. The project involves radio interferometric observations, data analysis, and theoretical interpretations of uGMRT and GPS satellite data. Please find more information from the attached file.
